Building Awards 2024: Finalists Announced for the Construction Sector's Prestigious Event
The construction industry is gearing up for the 30th edition of the Building Awards, taking place tonight at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London. This annual event recognises outstanding achievements in the sector, with a diverse range of finalists vying for awards across 21 categories.

Bellway Homes, MiTek UK & Ireland, Zehnder, and AECOM, Centre for Resilience Environment, Water and Waste (CREWW), University of Exeter are also in the running for this award.
The Specialist Contractor of the Year category sees finalists such as Mivan, McGee, Specialist Group, DGP plc, and Lignacite. In the Manufacturer of the Year category, Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions, Siderise Insulation, Keyfix, ARC Building Solutions, Senior Architectural Systems, Lignacite, and Zentia are contenders.
The Contractor of the Year finalists include Glencar, Reds10, Tilbury Douglas, and McLaren Construction. The Major Contractor of the Year finalists are VINCI Building, Multiplex, and Mace Group.
The Retrofit Project of the Year category is fiercely competitive, with finalists including Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, Buckley Gray Yeoman, Barr Gazetas, Chetwoods Architects, Ritchie Studio, and AKT II.
The Architectural Practice of the Year finalists include BPTW, Buckley Gray Yeoman + BGYID, ECD Architects, HLM Architects, LOM architecture and design, Ryder Architecture.
In the MMC Award category, SMART SLA for Army, Reds10, Mary's Catholic Voluntary Academy, Tilbury Douglas, Tide Construction and Vision Volumetric, and Trent View College, HLM Architects are finalists.
The Construction Consultant/Surveyor of the Year award has two categories – one for firms with fewer than 100 staff and another for those with over 100 staff. The former includes B&CO, Cahill Design Consultants, circle development, exigere, Keegans, Magnitude Quantity Surveyors Ltd, MESH Construction Consultancy, Plan A Consultants, Twin and Earth Ltd, Zerum Consult Ltd. The latter includes Core Five Consulting Limited, CPC Project Services, Currie & Brown, Drees & Sommer UK, Fulkers Bailey Russell, Mott MacDonald, Rider Levett Bucknall, Turner & Townsend Alinea.
