Intermodal Transport Solutions Showcased at Transport Logistic 2025: A Look at Integrated Transportation Strategies

The Kombiverkehr Group, a leading player in the European intermodal rail freight industry, is set to participate in the Transport Logistic trade fair in Munich from June 2nd to 5th, 2023. Nine companies under the Kombiverkehr umbrella will jointly present their intermodal transport solutions, each with a specific focus area, under the motto "Expertise. All the way."

The nine companies, including KombiRail Europe B.V., Optimodal Nederland B.V., Europe Intermodal Istanbul Ltd. Sti., Kombi Terminal Mortara Srl., Neuss Trimodal GmbH, KombiConsult GmbH, Service Company for Intermodal Traffic Ltd., and Kombiverkehr Intermodal Services GmbH, will be represented at the booth.

The focus of the fair presence is on intermodal networks, consulting services, and service offerings. The group aims to enhance and stabilize their intermodal rail freight network across Europe, developing new routes such as Rotterdam–Cologne, Antwerp–Madrid, Duisburg–Hallsberg, and re-opening Lübeck–Verona. They also plan to transfer significant volumes of road and water shipments onto rail to reduce CO₂ emissions.

Optimizing network efficiency through cooperation with multiple railway operators including KombiRail Europe and SBB Cargo International is another key priority. The group emphasizes sustainability and environmental benefits, demonstrated by customer savings of 1.12 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

The group also advocates for policy changes to address challenges related to German railway infrastructure, particularly reducing train cancellations caused by construction works and improving competitive conditions versus road transport.

Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to receive advice on individual transport solutions within the intermodal supply chain. Expert advice on specific transport requirements is available at Kombiverkehr's booth, located in Hall B6, Booth 305/406.

For the first time, nine companies of the Kombiverkehr group will be presenting themselves together at the fair. The Transport Logistic trade fair is seen as a suitable framework for expert discussions and exchange on current industry developments.
