In the ever-evolving world of electric vehicles (EVs), China's Changan Automobile Group has announced plans for a new addition to their Deepal sub-brand - the L06. Although no official details about the model have been confirmed yet, the camouflaged prototype reveals a coupe-inspired sedan design with sporty aesthetics.

The front fascia of the L06 features a closed-off grille and split headlamp units, giving it a modern and sleek appearance. The lower bumper boasts a subtle lip spoiler, adding a sport-oriented touch. At the rear, the L06 sports a minor ducktail-style spoiler and a pronounced diffuser. The L06's design aligns with current trends that prioritize visual styling and the integration of technology, as it seems to have a full-width taillight strip.

The Deepal L06 is positioned as the brand's first model under the China Changan Automobile Group, marking a significant step forward in their electric vehicle (EV) offerings. Although specific powertrain details are yet to be confirmed, it is known that the L06 will be equipped with a 3-nanometer automotive-grade cockpit chip, a first in a production vehicle. However, details about the capabilities of this chip have not been disclosed.

The announcement of the Deepal L06 coincides with China's broader strategy to consolidate automotive assets and advance development in new energy vehicles (NEVs). Changan's Deepal plans to unveil the world's most integrated, efficient electric drive in 2026, further solidifying their commitment to the EV sector.

While the L06 is the latest development in Deepal's lineup, it's worth noting the success of other Deepal models. The Deepal SL03, a mid-size sedan available since 2022, offers level-4 autonomous driving support and a range of up to 700 km in pure electric mode. The Deepal S07, a crossover SUV designed in Italy, delivers EV versions with a range of up to 620 km under CLTC.

As the EV market in China becomes increasingly competitive, Deepal is positioned as a brand offering technologically advanced, mid-priced to premium sedans and SUVs with an emphasis on long range, autonomous driving, and battery innovation. With the unveiling of the L06, Deepal and Changan Automobile Group continue to push the boundaries of EV technology.

However, as of August 2025, there are no confirmed details about a model named "Deepal L06" within Changan's EV lineup. Extensive data is available for other models in the Deepal lineup, but the L06 does not appear in official or credible sources. As more information becomes available, we will update you on the progress of the Deepal L06.
