Inveniam Acquires Hedgehog to Revolutionize Private Asset Trading

Inveniam, a leading data provider in the real estate, private equity, private credit, and infrastructure sectors, has announced the acquisition of Hedgehog, a UK-based firm specializing in the tokenization and distribution of assets to private wealth clients.

Hedgehog's whitelabel solution will enable Inveniam to provide a comprehensive solution for structuring, trading, and distributing private assets. The acquisition is not just about incremental efficiency; it's intended for foundational transformation.

Inveniam's vision for the tokenization of private assets and distribution to private investors aligns perfectly with Hedgehog's. The Hedgehog team, with expertise in private markets, technology development, and blockchain solutions, will help Inveniam scale its business more quickly.

Inveniam has been using blockchain to store data for several years, and the acquisition of Hedgehog further strengthens its position in the digital, crypto, and cloud-based trading of alternative asset classes. The transaction was agreed upon late last year, and the acquisition was officially announced yesterday.

Cushman & Wakefield and UAE-based AI firm G42 are among the major backers of Inveniam, joining others in supporting its mission. The backing from G42 occurred shortly after the acquisition agreement. This substantial investment brought Inveniam's total funding to $120 million.

Inveniam is building the infrastructure for digital, crypto, and cloud-based trading of alternative asset classes globally. The company is actively creating a common data layer that connects tokenization ecosystems, enabling better transparency, trust, and real-time data usage in the trading and management of private assets.

Future plans include revolutionizing private asset valuation and trading by leveraging AI and token data connectivity. Inveniam's platform facilitates the mark-to-market of real estate assets and supports global capital formation and distribution. The company is currently advancing its platform with AI and tokenization at the core, aiming to expand the market for tokenized real-world assets through enhanced data layers and strategic partnerships.

The volume of assets on Inveniam's platform is nearly $65 billion. The company has already integrated its data with fund administrator Apex in one of its earlier funding rounds. No recent explicit separate updates about Hedgehog's acquisition details or specific standalone projects under that name were found, suggesting integration rather than a wholly distinct venture post-acquisition.

Inveniam is positioned at a critical juncture to establish foundational infrastructure for private markets' tokenization, integrating token data across ecosystems to unlock liquidity, transparency, and broader adoption of tokenized real-world assets.
