Investment of £6 million secured by financial wellness platform Mintago
A financial wellness platform, partnering with alcohol-free beer maker Lucky Saint, has raked in a £6m investment infusion from a prominent group of financiers. Sources claim Mintago, founded in 2019, will soon announce the Series A round, led jointly by Guinness Ventures and Seed X Liechtenstein, with Social Impact Enterprises tagging along.
Besides Lucky Saint, Mintago's clientele includes Avis, the car rental firm, Northumbrian Police, and other unmentioned entities. The company's mission is to aid employees in managing their finances more effectively.
Reports suggest that recurring investors Love Ventures and Truesight Ventures have also contributed to this fundraising round.
Established by Chieu Cao and Daniel Conti, Mintago boasts more salary sacrifice schemes than any other UK provider. It offers independent financial advice, a service to trace lost pension pots, retail discounts, and GP services.
As per Conti, "Organisations are desperate for the same help we provide their staff. The benefits of providing that support affect everybody. When a company improves their salary sacrifice benefits engagement, they can save thousands in National Insurance Contributions, but their employees save too, lessening the burden on their finances."
The fresh funds will be allocated for the development of AI-powered products, according to the company.
Mathias Jaeggi, a partner at Seed X Liechtenstein, commented, "Mintago is enabling its customers to transform into genuinely people-centric organisations by providing them with the necessary tools to support their employees' financial wellbeing."
Although the exact investors in the Series A round, including Guinness Ventures, have yet to be disclosed, sources indicate that Mintago is now prepared to expand following this funding round.
