Italian Maestro Pays a Visit to Holoholand Construction Site - Reason Unveiled

YAKUTIA UNVEILING

Hey there, peeps! Guess who just dropped a bombshell? The "VIS" group of companies! They went and flaunted their latest treasure - the Arctic Center in Yakutsk. They brought in Fabio Mastrangelo, a famous Italian-Russian conductor, to check out the construction site of the Olonkholen. He seemed pretty thrilled, apparently picturing himself conducting symphonies in this marvel. All the while, they're sending us the message - "VIS" is a dependable contractor, working on serious business here!

You might think their reputation in Yakutia is a bit murky. After all, they're allied with the Russian oligarchs, the Rotenbergs. They've snagged a hefty portfolio of orders from the republic and are constructing some impressive, high-class structures - schools, hospitals, cultural centers, and so much more! Here are a few off the top of our head:

  • National School "Aiyy Kyhata" for 550 students
  • Kindergarten in Syrdakh for 240 students
  • Kindergarten No75 "Ivushka" for 240 students
  • Kindergarten "Tsvetok-Semitsvetik" for 315 students
  • Children's School of Arts with a concert hall for 300 students
  • Smart Library 2.0.3
  • School No25 for 350 students
  • School No6 for 500 students
  • Kindergarten No30 for 200 students
  • International Arctic School for 220 students
  • Kindergarten for 315 students in the 203rd microdistrict
  • Culture and Contemporary Art Center named after Yu.A. Gagarin
  • the largest medical complex in the capital of the Sakha Republic - a six-story polyclinic of City Hospital No2

Missed anything? Perhaps another House of Culture or a couple of International Centers. Yakutia is a treasure trove for them!

And let's not forget about the Olonkholen itself! It's the jewel in the crown of these prestigious buildings. The estimated cost for the Arctic Center of Epos and Arts from the Yakutia budget ranges from 18 to 27 billion, depending on who you ask. The experts are having a field day with those numbers!

They're taking their time with the construction, though, moving slow and steady since 2020. They assure us the object is already 73% complete, considering the current pace and COVID-19 struggles, they should be done next year!

Now, what's up with the Leninsky Bridge? Construction has been proceeding at a snail's pace, despite multiple orders from President Putin. Meanwhile, "VIS" keeps announcing progress - first, they cleared the site, then brought in the heavy equipment, and now they're bringing in concrete factories! They even promised to drive 50 piles by 2024. So far, only 29. There are only three weeks left until the New Year.

Given the magnitude of orders from the Yakutians, the bridge should be completed faster, better, and at a lower cost. Even for free!

As Yakutians watch the dance between the government and the company "VIS," they're left scratching their heads. How much more can this industry giant swallow from the budget? But the primary aim - Leninsky - remains frustratingly delayed. Is such an extensive feast necessary? And how many homes, hospitals, and kindergartens could have been built with the money spent on just one project? That's certainly a question for the books!
