Kamchatka Krai to Showcase Regional Food Brands at "Tastes of Russia" Festival
Kamchatka Krai, a region known for its abundant seafood and unique regional products, is set to participate in the National Gastronomic Festival "Tastes of Russia" at VDNH from August 14 to 24, 2025. The region will gather all Kamchatka brands that have participated in the project's competitive program over the years on its platform during the festival.
The festival aims to showcase the potential of regional food brands from Kamchatka Krai, with a focus on small and medium-sized businesses in the agro-industrial sector. Ekaterina Boboeva, Deputy Minister and Head of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture's Veterinary Department, has been involved in the preparations for the festival since its beginning in 2020.
In 2021, the region won the "Nationwide" nomination with the brand "Kamchatka Salmon". Two new brands from Kamchatka Krai were added to the festival in the same year: "Tushonka from Kamchatka Venison" and "Kamchatka Mineral Water Malkinskaya". In 2020, five local products from Kamchatka Krai were presented at the first National Competition of Regional Food Brands, including "Kamchatka Blueberry", "Kamchatka Fern", "Kamchatka Salmon", "Kamchatka Fish Sausage", and "Kamchatka Ivan-chai" under the brand "Fairytale Kamchatka".
The cooperation between Kamchatka Krai and the National Gastronomic Festival "Tastes of Russia" at VDNH began in 2020. The festival intends to highlight the role of small and medium-sized businesses in the agro-industrial sector of Kamchatka Krai, contributing to the promotion of these businesses on a national level.
Participation in such events not only helps promote regional food brands but also boosts tourism and preserves culinary traditions by bringing local products to a national audience.
