Klingbeil enlists tax and financial advisors to the Department of Finance
Cool Buzz: Here's the Lowdown on Berlin's Financial Trends
It's about to get chaotic (and hopefully, productive) in the world of German finance! New kid on the block, Lars Klingbeil (SPD), is taking over as the Federal Minister of Finance, and he's got a team ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
Klingbeil is bringing in heavy hitters from his SPD faction to act as his deputies in the Ministry of Finance. Dennis Rohde, currently the chief budget officer, is one of them, as is Michael Schrodi, the faction's spokesperson on tax policy. These powerhouses will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the Bundestag's committees and their own faction.
Also on the roster, Maximilian Kall is set to become the press spokesperson for the Ministry of Finance. Kall, who was previously the spokesperson for outgoing Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, is no stranger to handling the press.
The handover from current Finance Minister Jörg Kukies to Klingbeil is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, setting the stage for change.
