Krasnodar Launches New Priority Lane, Aims for 45 km by 2034
Krasnodar has launched a new dedicated lane on ul. Severny, stretching from ul. Sedyh to ul. Levanevskogo in both directions. The city aims to expand its network of priority lanes for public transport, with a target of 45 km by 2034. Vladimir Arkhipov, deputy head of Krasnodar, has revealed the ambitious plan.
The new lane on ul. Severny is part of a larger initiative to improve traffic management in Krasnodar. In 2024, this lane was extended to ul. Sadovaya during road renovations. Currently, the total length of dedicated lanes in the city stands at 26 km. Additionally, an 'A' sign lane is operational on ul. Severny from ul. Sadovaya to ul. Lomonosova in both directions.
The Krasnodar administration has been proactive in implementing these changes. They have installed road signs and markings to clearly indicate the dedicated lanes. The Higher School of Economics is also involved, expanding the network as part of a comprehensive traffic management scheme.
Krasnodar's dedication to improving public transport infrastructure is evident in its expansion of dedicated lanes. With a target of 45 km by 2034, the city is committed to easing traffic congestion and enhancing public transport efficiency. Despite the lack of specific political figures driving this policy, the Krasnodar administration and external bodies like the Higher School of Economics are actively working towards this goal.
