Kroger in Edgewood set to launch its grand opening this weekend, featuring a series of special events commencing on Friday.
Kroger Marketplace Grand Opening in Edgewood, Kentucky
Get ready, Edgewood! The long-awaited Kroger Marketplace is set to open its doors on September 19, located at 3073 Dixie Hwy. This exciting new development is an investment of $25 million and promises to revolutionize your shopping experience.
The grand opening ceremony will commence at 7:30 a.m., with Kroger leadership, Edgewood Mayor John Link, and a performance by the Dixie Heights High School Marching Band. The first 150 customers will receive a $20 Kroger gift card to kick-start their shopping adventure.
At the heart of the Marketplace is a first-of-its-kind 6,500-square-foot deli, inspired by restaurants and classic neighborhood delis. Jake Cannon, Division President of Kroger’s Cincinnati/Dayton division, is leading the launch of this innovative deli. You can look forward to fresh deli sandwiches, regular and spicy fried chicken sandwiches, made-to-order sandwiches, and warm comforting homestyle sides.
The deli will offer a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options from a chef-developed menu. Highlights include the Steakhouse, Italian Pork Philly, Portobello Mushroom Panini, and more. The deli will also feature house-roasted meats such as rotisserie chicken, roast beef, roast turkey, roasted pork loin, and braised beef.
The deli isn't the only exciting addition to the Marketplace. You'll find a Murray's Cheese section in the Kroger Delicatessen, offering a selection of cheeses to complement your sandwiches. The Marketplace will also feature Murray's Cheese and Private Selection by Snowfox Sushi stations.
The grand opening weekend will be packed with product samples, giveaways, and more. Bill Rancic, American entrepreneur, will host a cooking demo featuring Mama DePandi on Friday from noon to 2 p.m. Cincinnati Reds Catcher Tyler Stephenson will make an appearance on Friday at 11 a.m., and Hall of Fame Reds Broadcaster, Marty Brennaman, will make an appearance on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
In recognition of September as Hunger Action Month, the store's grand opening will include a special community donation. The Marketplace will also include apparel, a fuel center, and a wine and spirits shop, making it a one-stop-shop for all your needs.
Don't miss out on this transformative shopping experience. Mark your calendars for September 19, and get ready to explore the new Kroger Marketplace in Edgewood, Kentucky!
