Hyundai's 2026 SUV Lineup Unveils Major Upgrades
Hyundai has revealed significant updates for its 2026 SUV lineup, which includes the all-new redesigned Palisade, a refreshed Tucson, and an enhanced Santa Fe. These vehicles showcase elevated luxury, hybrid powertrain technology, expanded off-road capabilities, and increased customisation options.
2026 Hyundai Palisade: A Modern Redesign
The second-generation Palisade boasts a boxy, premium, and modern design with slightly larger exterior dimensions. It is 2.5 inches longer, has a 2.7-inch longer wheelbase, and is wider and taller, providing more passenger space, especially in the first two rows.
The Palisade offers two powertrain options. The 2.5-liter turbocharged hybrid powertrain, available from Fall 2025, delivers approximately 329 hp, 339 lb-ft torque, an estimated 34 mpg combined, and a 4,000-lb towing capacity. A 3.5-liter V6 engine, available now, produces around 287 hp and 260 lb-ft torque, with a 5,000-lb towing capacity.
A new off-road-oriented XRT Pro trim features a 1-inch higher ride height, all-terrain tires, hill descent control, and orange tow hooks. The Palisade's luxury and technology enhancements include increased sound-dampening materials, a larger curved-glass display, power-adjustable seats in the second and third rows, and a top Calligraphy trim offering a near-luxury cabin experience.
The Palisade's base V6 model starts at $38,935, while the hybrid base starts at $43,660. The XRT Pro AWD starts at $49,370, and the top Calligraphy hybrid is priced at $58,280.
2026 Hyundai Tucson and Santa Fe: Tech Upgrades and Customisation Options
The Santa Fe receives major tech upgrades, including a panoramic curved display and an electronic shift column with vibration warning. A new ‘H-Pick’ trim offers premium features like Digital Key 2, driver’s ergo motion seat, first-row relaxation seats, natural leather upholstery, and an electric tilt & telescopic steering wheel. New ‘Black Exterior’ and ‘Black Ink Plus’ packages add blacked-out styling elements for a sportier look.
The Tucson gains standard features focusing on comfort, including heated leather steering wheel, heated front seats, and an after-blow system for A/C freshness. It also offers the new ‘Kona Black Exterior’ package for enhanced styling.
Additional Updates
- The Palisade's cabin offers a passenger and cargo capacities increase, heated and ventilated seating for all three rows, powered seats, 64-color ambient lighting, and a center console UV-C sterilization compartment.
- The Ioniq 9, a new electric SUV addition to Hyundai's lineup, offers three rows of seating, a large 110-kWh battery pack, Tesla's NACS charging port, and high-speed charging capable of up to 232 kW.
- The 2026 Hyundai Kona Electric discontinues the Long Range powertrain, leaving just the SE base grade. All Kona Electrics now come with the 48.6-kWh Standard Range battery that's good for an estimated 200 miles of range.
- The redesigned Nexo hydrogen fuel cell vehicle features a more powerful electric motor, a higher-output battery, and a larger hydrogen tank, improving performance and extending driving range. It also has a more spacious cabin, a modern sculpted look, and a column-mounted shifter. Technology highlights include dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, generative AI voice controls, and a premium 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
