Law enforcement uncovers a range of infractions during vehicle examination at checkpoints
In a bid to ensure the safety of road users, inspections of commercial goods and passenger traffic at the Weiskirchen-Nord rest area often focus on compliance with transportation and safety regulations. Eleven truck drivers were found to have violated the Driver Hours Regulation by not adhering to prescribed driving and rest times. The police will continue to collaborate with other authorities to conduct targeted controls aimed at improving road safety.
Two vehicle drivers were discovered to be in violation of the Goods Transport Act by not carrying original license papers.
