Lisbon's 25th of April Bridge to Close Nights for Maintenance
From October 9 to November 5, maintenance work on the 25th of April Bridge in Lisbon will cause traffic disruptions between Lisbon and Almada. The work aims to ensure the bridge's safety and durability, with traffic restrictions in place from 9 pm to 6 am on weekdays.
During this period, Fertagus trains and the Vasco da Gama Bridge are recommended alternatives for crossing the Tagus River. The maintenance, including paving works, is conducted by public authorities responsible for infrastructure safety and durability. The works are coordinated to minimise traffic impact, primarily taking place during night hours. Authorities assure that the impact on motorists using the bridge will be reduced.
The maintenance work on the 25th of April Bridge is scheduled from October 9 to November 5, with traffic restrictions in effect from 9 pm to 6 am on weekdays. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes or plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays.
