Mehmet Kinak to Receive 2025 Dictum Meum Pactum Award from STA
Mehmet Kinak, Vice President of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. and Head of Global Equity Trading, has been recognised for his significant contributions to institutional trading and market structure advocacy. Kinak was named the recipient of the STA's Dictum Meum Pactum Award in 2025.
This prestigious award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to the betterment of the financial services industry and exhibited acts of integrity. Kinak, a trusted subject matter expert and highly-respected leader for over 20 years in financial services, is a deserving recipient.
Kinak's role at T. Rowe Price sees him overseeing the firm’s global trading desks and leading efforts to improve trade execution strategy. He works closely with brokers, exchanges, regulators, and policymakers worldwide to evaluate market structure and regulatory developments.
His involvement in shaping the financial industry is not limited to T. Rowe Price. Kinak serves on the Institutional Traders Advisory Committees of CBOE Global Markets, IEX Group, and Nasdaq, and Chairs the Investment Company Institute's (ICI) Equity Market Structure Advisory Committee. Previously, he was a member of the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Equity Market Structure Advisory Committee.
Kinak's achievements in the financial services industry are numerous. He is Co-Chair of the New York Stock Exchange’s Institutional Traders Advisory Committee and has previously served on Virginia Tech’s Finance Advisory Board. His work has earned him a B.S. in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
The 2025 Dictum Meum Pactum Award will be presented to Kinak at STA's 92nd Annual Market Structure Conference in Washington DC, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Kinak joined T. Rowe Price in 2000 and has held multiple roles such as portfolio accounting associate, investment liaison, portfolio implementation manager, electronic trader, and Head of Systematic Trading. Prior to his current role, he was responsible for algorithmic trading and market structure advocacy in equities.
Kinak's work as a board member of the National Organization of Investment Professionals and his support of STA at the National and local Affiliate levels further solidify his position as a key figure in the financial services industry.
