MET Group Boosts Renewable Energy Capacity to 414 MWp
MET Group has boosted its renewable energy capacity to 414 MWp, thanks to new solar projects in Spain and Hungary. The company remains dedicated to Europe's energy transition, with 34% of its capital expenditure invested in green initiatives. MET Group's latest Climate Impact Report 2024 highlights these achievements.
The report reveals a 23% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 12% decrease in electricity carbon intensity. MET Group generated 617 GWh of green electricity, marking a 16% increase from the previous year. Holding CFO Noubi Ben Hamida reinforced the company's commitment to supporting Europe's energy transition.
MET Group is expanding its renewable energy portfolio, developing over 1,000 MWp of projects and 130 MWp of battery storage systems across Europe. Its subsidiary, ENOVA, plans to add more than 1,000 MWp of renewable capacity in 2025, focusing on repowering projects in Germany.
