Microsoft Unveils Revamped Bing Places for Business
Microsoft has unveiled a revamped Bing Places for Business, now operating under a new domain, www.bing.com/forbusiness. The platform launched on October 3, 2025, offering a range of improvements to enhance business visibility and management.
The new platform introduces a Recommendation Tool that provides targeted suggestions to enrich business listings based on listing health signals and business segment data. This feature aims to help business owners improve their online presence.
Microsoft has also made significant strides in simplifying the import process from Google Business Profile. The improved functionality is faster and more reliable, preserving key attributes during the transfer. Business owners can now import their listings with instant verification or create their Bing profile directly.
The migration to the new domain, www.bing.com/forbusiness, is part of broader integration efforts to improve access and trust for business owners. This structural change is one of the most significant in the platform's history.
Microsoft conducted extensive research with business owners prior to development, identifying three primary concerns: improved discoverability, simplified design, and seamless importing. The new platform addresses these issues, enabling businesses to manage their local search presence across Bing search results and Bing Maps at no cost.
The redesigned Bing Places for Business offers a suite of improvements to help business owners enhance their online visibility. With a new domain, enhanced import functionality, and a Recommendation Tool, the platform aims to provide a seamless and effective management experience. Microsoft is also offering $500 in advertising credits through Microsoft Advertising with a promotional offer prominently displayed on the platform's landing page.
