New Rules to Bolster Emerging Export Businesses Announced by Governmental Body

The ODOP initiative covers 773 districts, each offering unique products such as Wayanad’s coffee, Ratnagiri mangoes, and Pulwama’s saffron. These local treasures are being positioned to gain international recognition. The government emphasizes recognizing multiple products from the same district under ODOP, acknowledging the diversity of offerings across India.
Bihar has achieved 100% coverage of ODOP products, with all 38 districts included, and is categorized as Category A for its efforts.

The second edition of the One District One Product (ODOP) Awards was organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The international footprint of ODOP is expanding, with ODOP Walls established in Singapore, New York, Vancouver, Milan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Japan.
The ODOP Experiential Centre, together with PM Gati Shakti, offers an immersive experience into district-level products, with active collaborations with institutions such as the NID and IITs for skilling and training.
More than 1,200 unique products from over 750 districts have been identified under ODOP, spanning various sectors. The ODOP Awards were instituted to recognise and celebrate the efforts of States, Districts, and Indian Missions Abroad in advancing the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat through the ODOP initiative. A total of 34 awards were conferred across three categories - Districts, States and Union Territories, and Indian Missions Abroad.
The respective representatives of the winners received the awards during the ceremony. 64 out of 87 ODOP products are covered under the Industrial Investment Promotion Policy. Indian Missions Abroad participated in the ceremony virtually. ODOP products are now available at retail outlets such as Mustafa Centre and Centre Point Mall in Singapore.
