Newly Appointed Ambassadori Island in Batumi Officially Acquires 26-Hectare Territory

The Ambassadori Island project, a unique development initiative in the Black Sea, is set to revolutionize urban development along the regional coastline. Aligning with long-term urban development goals, this ambitious project presents new investment opportunities for both Georgia and the broader region.

Spanning over 84 hectares, the project is being implemented by Ambassadori Group in partnership with Turkish architectural and engineering company Yuksel Proje. The project's acceptance was based on an expert conclusion from the National Bureau of Expertise of Georgia, confirming its compliance and preparation with the involvement of international specialists.

Ambassadori Island Batumi, a key participant in the project, has already made significant strides since the start of construction. The project covers 38 out of the total 84 hectares, with construction progressing rapidly.

In September 2025, construction of two ultra-modern, multifunctional buildings will begin on Ambassadori Island. These buildings will include residential apartments, hotels, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fitness centers, recreational areas, shopping centers, and more.

The development will also feature educational and healthcare institutions, hotels, apartments, villas, residential buildings, helipads, a yacht club, and extensive recreational spaces. In fact, 49 percent of the territory across the two peninsulas and the island will be dedicated to publicly accessible recreational spaces. These recreational spaces will feature forest parks, walking trails, sports fields, and other public amenities.

The Ambassadori Island project is part of a larger initiative aimed at creating two artificial peninsulas and one artificial island in the Black Sea. This transformation is expected to reshape public perceptions of what future cities can be.

Moreover, the project boasts partnerships with global British company ARUP, which has contributed to urban planning in numerous cities worldwide. This collaboration underscores the project's commitment to international standards and best practices.

The Ambassador Batumi Island company, involved in the project of artificial islands near Batumi’s coast, is a key participant; the project involves a $100 million investment and includes construction of villas, a hotel, shopping centers, educational institutions, and yacht clubs. However, specific international companies beyond this entity are not named in the available information.

The Ambassadori Island project, with its new development standards, is not just a construction project; it's a testament to the future of urban development in the region. This transformation is expected to create a new standard of urban development along the Black Sea coastline.
