Nigeria's Fire Safety Revolution: Hoist Life Launches NAFDAS Project

Hoist Life Safety System Limited, led by Mr Adeleye Oladimeji, is spearheading the National Fire Detection and Alarm System (NAFDAS) project in Nigeria. The company aims to introduce a comprehensive fire safety system, similar to the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) in Germany.

The project, initiated as a public-private partnership (PPP) in 2023 under Minister Rauf Aregbesola, seeks to engage asset owners across industries and residential buildings. Oladimeji believes the current situation could generate more than the projected N32 billion in 10 years through safe fire detection and alarm system services.

Hoist Life Safety System is actively liaising with the Federal Fire Service for service provision. The company engages in enlightenment, media outreaches, and trainings to educate the public on life safety systems. The goal is to bring all asset owners on board for all-round monitoring to swift fire service response. Oladimeji recalls a 2003 Port Harcourt oil company incident that led to the introduction of alarm systems, highlighting the need for such a project.

Hoist Life Safety System Limited, under the guidance of Mr Adeleye Oladimeji, is set to revolutionise Nigeria's fire safety landscape with the NAFDAS project. With a projected revenue of over N32 billion in 10 years, the system aims to protect assets and lives across the country, working in collaboration with the Federal Fire Service.
