Nissan Magnite excels in Global NCAP's crash test, achieving a perfect 5-star rating.

The Nissan Magnite, a popular compact SUV in India, has expanded its powertrain options with the introduction of a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) variant.

Priced between ₹6.00 lakh and ₹11.76 lakh (ex-showroom), the Nissan Magnite CNG variant is now available at dealerships. The base variant starts at approximately ₹6.00 lakh, with some reports showing it slightly higher at ₹6.14 lakh. On the other hand, the top variant, typically the Turbo CVT Premium, is priced up to ₹10.54 lakh, although some sources mention a cap of ₹10.60 lakh for the top variants.

The CNG system in the Nissan Magnite is developed and manufactured by Motozen. It features a single 12 kg cylinder and is installed at government-certified installation centres. This eco-friendly addition does not affect the standard vehicle warranty of the Nissan Magnite, which remains three years or 1 lakh kilometres. Nissan continues to honor its standard vehicle warranty for the Magnite CNG variant.

The Nissan Magnite has consistently demonstrated a commitment to safety. It is the first vehicle tested under the current Global NCAP protocols in South Africa to be awarded a 5-star adult safety rating. The vehicle scored 32.31 out of 34 points for adult occupant protection. Additionally, it complies with pedestrian protection requirements and other key safety performance benchmarks.

The Nissan Magnite is equipped with numerous safety features. It comes with six airbags as standard, 3-point seatbelts for all seating positions, and enhanced Electronic Stability Control (ESC). The vehicle also boasts improved occupant restraint systems and structural changes aimed at increasing protection during side impacts.

Motozen also provides a warranty for the CNG components in the Nissan Magnite, ensuring peace of mind for environmentally-conscious consumers. The Nissan Magnite CNG variant is priced at ₹6.89 lakh ex-showroom. The CNG system is equipped at the dealership level, making the transition to CNG seamless for customers.

The Nissan Magnite has proven to be a reliable choice for those seeking a balance between performance, safety, and eco-friendliness. With the introduction of the CNG variant, it continues to offer a compelling option for environmentally-conscious consumers in India.
