Transneft-West Siberia Reveals Preliminary Q1 2025 Lab Results for Oil and Petroleum Products
Here's the latest scoop on Transneft-West Sibir's quality control labs for oil and fuel, as of March 2025. On their pumping stations, they've got a total of 9 oil quality test labs and 2 for petroleum products. In Q1 2025, these labs conducted a whopping 31,567 tests to ensure compliance with GOST standards and technical regulations.
Their oil quality checks are based on a set of 14 factors, such as water, chloride, sulfur, hydrogen sulfide, and organic chlorides compounds. For petroleum products, they assess 17 factors like flash point, fractional composition, and lubrication properties. In addition, two labs—the Omsk and Angarsk test stations—also inspect the quality of compressor lubricants. The test results are sent to the Unified Laboratory Information System for real-time data processing.
One of the company's top priorities is upgrading the lab's infrastructure, located on the production facilities. Modern equipment allows for a complete suite of acceptance, periodic, and control tests on fossil fuels while performing accounting operations and ensuring the reliability of test results.
Between January and March 2025, Transneft-West Sibir purchased 10 new testing devices, including Karl Fischer water testers for oil samples, a set for diesel lubrication test, and an automated fractional composition analyzer for petroleum products.
