Omsk city center will be temporarily shut for a period of two days. What arrangements will be made for public transport during this time?
Omsk City Day: Street Closures and Bus Route Changes
For the celebration of Omsk City Day on August 1st and 2nd, several streets in the city will be closed, leading to changes in bus routes that normally travel through these areas.
The Omsk city administration has announced that Lubinsky Prospekt will be pedestrian-only on both days, causing a rerouting of buses that usually run along this street. Affected bus lines will either have adjusted stops or detours around the pedestrianized sections, which may result in potential delays or changes in boarding locations.
On August 1st, Lenina Street and Gertsena Street will be closed. Gertsena Street from Lenina to Internationalnaya will be affected, and Lenina Street from Sobornaya to Partizanskaya will also be closed. Traffic on Lubinsky Prospekt will be prohibited from 10 am to 8 pm on August 1st.
On August 2nd, street closures will occur on Lenina Street and Shauмяna Street. Lenina Street will be extensively closed from Lermontov to Leningradskaya Square from 6 am to 12 pm, while Shauмяna Street will be closed from 9th Lenin to 12th Proletarskaya during the same time frame. The closure on August 2nd will also impact the route of bus No. 25, in addition to the previously mentioned bus lines 34, 62, 64, 73, 77, 94, and trolleybus No. 8.
Moreover, on August 2nd, bus No. 73 will not travel on Lenina towards Chkalovsky from 6 am to 12 pm. The closure on August 2nd will also affect the route of bus No. 73. Shauмяna Street will be closed from 9th Lenin to 12th Proletarskaya on August 2nd.
In addition to the aforementioned changes, buses No. 109 will have a modified route due to the street closures on August 2nd. On this day, buses No. 109 will go as far as the railway station instead of their regular route.
For detailed information about the affected bus routes and their detours, it is recommended to check the official announcements from Omsk city transport authorities or their website close to the event date. The street closures will also occur on August 2nd during the Siberian International Marathon and festive concerts.
- Due to Omsk City Day celebrations and the Siberian International Marathon on August 2nd, the transportation industry is likely to experience modifications in the finance sector, as the closure of Lenina Street, Shauмяna Street, and parts of Lubinsky Prospekt could potentially disrupt the operations of the city's public buses and trolleybuses.
- The city's financial planning for August 1st and 2nd might need adjustments in the transportation sector, considering the changes in bus routes and street closures that have been planned for industry hubs such as Lubinsky Prospekt, Lenina Street, Gertsena Street, and Shauмяna Street during the Omsk City Day celebration and related events.
