oOh!media Appoints James Taylor as New CEO

oOh!media has appointed James Taylor as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Taylor, currently serving as the Managing Director of the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), will take up the position in early 2026, succeeding Cathy O'Connor.

The appointment follows a thorough search process led by the Board in collaboration with a leading global executive search firm. Tony Faure, Chair of oOh!media, expressed his delight in welcoming Taylor to the team.

Taylor brings over 25 years of experience in Australia's media and telecommunications sectors. Prior to SBS, he served as the organization's Chief Financial Officer for over six years. Before joining SBS, Taylor held various roles in the media industry, although the specific details of his previous appointments are not mentioned in the search results.

Under Taylor's leadership at SBS, the streaming platform SBS On Demand achieved record consumption levels and robust advertising results. His appointment is expected to bring valuable experience and leadership to oOh!media.

James Taylor will join oOh!media in late 2025 or early 2026, following Cathy O'Connor's departure. Taylor looks forward to this new opportunity, describing it as an exciting time for both the business and the Out of Home sector.
