Operation Date Set: Northern Salt Lake Valley Bridge Scheduled for Activation
The much-anticipated release of the North Bridge on the Salzbachtal Bridge in Wiesbaden, Germany, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, 23rd July, following the discovery of defects in the sealing of the bridge deck during quality checks. The Federal Highway Authority has announced that the North Bridge major infrastructure project is nearing completion, with the West branch of the Authority confirming the imminent release of the Salzbachtal Bridge. The sealing and the bridge deck must be technically flawless and properly connected to ensure the structure's long-term integrity, particularly for protection against penetrating water.
The necessary improvements have been implemented at full speed, and the covering on the North Bridge will be removed around 5 pm on the day of release.
