Polar Tech's Oxfordshire Facility Crafts Critical Sub-Frame for USAF's Grey Wolf Helicopter
Polar Technology has been tasked by ISTEC to produce a critical component for the United States Air Force's Grey Wolf Helicopter. The sub-frame, manufactured at Polar Technology's Oxfordshire facility, connects ISTEC's weapons mount to the airframe of the Grey Wolf. A sample will be showcased at DSEI in September.
The manufacturing process involved intricate precision bending, advanced machining, and coded welding. Each completed frame was delivered with a quality pack, ensuring full traceability of components and processes. ISTEC's managing director, Mick Coulson, commended Polar Technology's support for the Grey Wolf weapon mount program. Polar Technology was selected for its expertise in advanced, precision, and critical fabrications. Daniel Chilcott, business development director at Polar Technology, expressed delight in supporting the USAF MH-139A platform.
Polar Technology's sub-frame, manufactured at its 180,000ft facility in Oxfordshire, is set to enhance the capabilities of the USAF Grey Wolf Helicopter. The company's precision and expertise have been recognised by ISTEC, and a sample of the sub-frame will be on display at DSEI later this year.
