On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, several fuel companies in the Philippines have announced price decreases for their diesel, gasoline, and kerosene products. The adjustments are set to take effect from 6 a.m. onwards.

Caltex will decrease the prices of diesel and kerosene by P1.00 per liter, while gasoline will see a decrease of P0.40 per liter. Meanwhile, Pilipinas Shell, PetroGazz, Cleanfuel, and Seaoil have announced more significant price reductions. Diesel will be reduced by P1.50 per liter, gasoline by P0.40 per liter, and kerosene by P1.30 per liter.

These rollbacks come after four consecutive weeks of price hikes. The developments in the global oil market, including increased OPEC+ supply and easing trade tensions, have influenced local price decreases.

However, it's worth noting that TPM has not provided specific details about the price changes for its fuels.

These price adjustments are expected to provide some relief to consumers and businesses, who have been facing increased fuel costs in recent weeks. The exact impact on the overall economy remains to be seen.

The significant price decreases announced by fuel companies like Caltex, Pilipinas Shell, PetroGazz, Cleanfuel, and Seaoil in the Philippines' energy sector are expected to provide financial relief to consumers and businesses, as they confront escalating fuel costs. The fluctuations in the global oil market, characterized by increased OPEC+ supply and easing trade tensions, have also influenced the local finance industry, enabling these price reductions.
