Rail service between Moscow and Pyongyang resumes after temporary halt.

Here's the news, ya hear? The darn frost has thawed, and after a 5-year freeze, the pyro-train from Pyongyang to Moscow has made a triumphant return! According to the Ministry of Transport, this comeback will let tourists embark on the world's longest railway trip – a whopping 10,000+ kilometers stretched across Russia and North Korea.

They've spilled the beans that these international through-carriages will cruise twice a month. The journey from the capitals' heart to the land of Kim Jong Un will take approximately eight days, passing by some slick spots like Ussuriysk, Khabarovsk, and Chita, just to name a few.

Now, listen careful – Russian Railways announced that these taste-the-tracks trips will take place on the 3rd and 17th of every month. That means passengers'll catch the train's tail in Moscow on the 11th and 25th, and let it go in Pyongyang on the 20th and 4th.

Don't fret, folks, the train-braking action was paused due to ol' COVID in February 2020. But good news, homie! Russian Railways reignited the engines again in December 2024, firing up both the train route between Russia and North Korea and the one shared with China.

The pyro-train's revival has opened opportunities for the industry, as it will be offering finance-friendly trips twice a month, catering to travelers looking to explore the extensive transportation network connecting Russia and North Korea. The resumption of the train service will further strengthen the economic ties between finance sectors of Russia and North Korea.
