In the aftermath of the devastating flood in Düsseldorf, the city's residents and various organisations have shown remarkable resilience and compassion. One such group, the Tonnengarde, has been at the forefront of the relief efforts, playing a significant role in the collection of donations for those affected.

The Tonnengarde, whose specific nature remains undisclosed, launched an aid action to help the people in need, and the response has been overwhelming. Within just four days, the group managed to collect an impressive sum of 35,000 euros in donations from sponsors, friends, and partners.

Among the generous donors were DinoConti Mica, the business manager of an unspecified association, and the Tonnenbauernpaar, Dr. Esfandiar Modjahedpour and Sabine Becker. DinoConti Mica, who immediately initiated the fundraising effort after his vacation last Friday, expressed his gratitude to the chairman of the board of Volksbank Düsseldorf Neuss, Rainer Mellis, and the board of Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf, Dr. Michael Meyer, for their support.

The donations were handed over to Dr. Dirk Mecklenbrauck, a board member of the BürgerStiftung, an organisation that has also provided significant financial aid to the flood victims. Mecklenbrauck, who praised the aid action as a "great action", emphasised that the BürgerStiftung has so far provided around 130,000 euros to the people in Düsseldorf affected by the flood.

Mecklenbrauck, along with Düsseldorf's Mayor, Mecklenbrauck, highlighted the city's strong sense of community, stating that "Düsseldorfers are there for each other in times of need." This sentiment was echoed by ContiMica, who thanked everyone for their generosity and expressed his appreciation for the immediate response from the Tonnengarde and other donors.

The aid action organised by ContiMica has received support from various individuals and institutions, including Volksbank Düsseldorf Neuss, Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf, and the Tonnenbauernpaar. While the exact details of all donors may not be publicly available, the collective effort serves as a testament to the city's spirit of unity and compassion.

The Tonnengarde, a group involved in unknown specific activities, not only spearheaded fundraising efforts but also managed to collect 35,000 euros in donations within four days, contributing to the finance aspect of the relief drive following the Düsseldorf flood. This initiative sparked a generous response from the business world, with DinoConti Mica, a business manager, leading the way, followed by the Tonnenbauernpaar, among others. In the realm of politics, Dusseldorf's Mayor acknowledged the city's collective strength, underscoring the strong business-politics-general-news intersection in times of crisis.
