A1 Closure: Essential Sign Installation Works Affecting Traffic from July 30 to August 1
The A1 between Neuenkirchen-Vörden and Bramsche will be closed for essential sign installation works from July 30 to August 1. This closure will impact traffic in both directions, and drivers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
For northbound traffic (towards Bremen), vehicles are recommended to exit the A1 before the closure and use the B68 and B213 roads to bypass the closed section. After passing the closure area, drivers can re-enter the A1 at Bramsche or a suitable interchange beyond the closure.
Southbound traffic (towards Osnabrück/Hannover) should leave the A1 before Neuenkirchen-Vörden and use local roads, including parts of the B68, to navigate around the closure and return to the A1 south of the closed segment.
These detours are intended to minimise congestion and maintain smooth traffic flow during the sign installation works. It is recommended to follow official traffic signs and updates from local traffic authorities while travelling.
Additionally, traffic heading towards Bremen will be redirected via the U5 from Bramsche during the closure. For traffic in the direction of Dortmund, the U60 will be used for detours from Neuenkirchen-Vörden.
The A1 closure in the direction of Dortmund will continue from July 30 to July 31, nightly from 22:00 to 5:00. The PWC facility Ahrensfeld-Ost (direction Bremen) will remain closed from 2:00 on Thursday (July 31).
Signs over the A1 near Rieste are also being installed as part of the works. Drivers are advised to be aware of these changes and to allow extra travel time or consider using alternative routes where possible.
