Roadway Shutdown between Halle-Neustadt Interchange and Halle-Süd Motorway Triangle junction point
The Autobahn GmbH has announced a significant maintenance project on the A143 between Halle-Neustadt and Halle-Süd junctions. This project, known as the construction of the A143 Westumfahrung Halle, is being carried out by a joint venture of GP Verkehrswegebau GmbH, Grötz Bauunternehmung GmbH, and Schachtbau Nordhausen GmbH. GP Verkehrswegebau GmbH is the direct contractor of DEGES.
The works are prioritized due to the now 21-year lifespan of the carriageway. The project will commence with the Halle-Süd carriageway, with construction work beginning soon. During this phase, traffic will be directed in a single lane over the Halle-Nord carriageway using a 2+0 traffic management system. One wide lane per direction will be available during the construction period on the Halle-Süd carriageway.
For the convenience of road users, on-ramp and off-ramp traffic will be directed via signposted detours during the construction period. The Teutschenthal and Holleben junctions, as well as the on-ramp of the Halle-Neustadt junction, are also affected by the closure. The main detour route will be via the A38 to the Schafstadt junction.
It is important to note that all road users are kindly requested to drive carefully and considerately in the construction area for their own safety and that of the workers on site. The "Pappelgrund" service area is affected by the closure.
After completion of the works on the Halle-Süd carriageway, the Halle-Nord carriageway will be renewed. However, the exact start date of the renewal of the Halle-Nord carriageway cannot yet be specified due to weather dependence. The final markings will be applied once the works are completed.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and to follow the signposted detours during the construction period. The works include resurfacing of the carriageway and junctions, ensuring a safer and smoother driving experience for all once completed.
