This prestigious award, given to outstanding providers with consumer-friendly offers, recognises Stadtwerke Solingen's commitment to excellence in areas such as price-performance ratio, ecology, regional commitment, service, customer friendliness, and data protection.
Bastian Schumacher, sales manager at Stadtwerke Solingen, expressed his satisfaction with the renewed award, stating that the company works daily on the optimization of its services and offers. Leif Reitis, managing director of Stadtwerke Solingen, added that the company is locally based, firmly rooted, and close to the concerns and needs of the people of Solingen, taking this as daily motivation to become even better.
Stadtwerke Solingen has been committed to the city and its citizens for many years, not just through the provision of essential public infrastructure but also through sponsorship in the children and youth sector. Last year, Stadtwerke Solingen charged more than 600,000 kilowatt hours of electricity to electric vehicles at public charging stations, an increase of around 25 percent compared to the previous year.
The promotion of "electric-powered means of transport" is a part of Stadtwerke Solingen's efforts towards ecology. This commitment is further demonstrated by the operation of a natural gas filling station on Westfalenstraße and the offering of a certified green electricity and green gas tariff.

In normal times, Stadtwerke Solingen's customers have the opportunity to meet with an energy advisor in the customer center. Around 50 additional locations for charging stations are currently undergoing an internal review to be approved as soon as possible.
