Spanish Consumer Confidence Rises to 70.5 in November, but Remains Negative
Despite recent improvements, Spanish consumers remain pessimistic about their economy. The Consumer Confidence Index, released by a national statistical body, has risen to 70.5 points in November 2025. However, this is still far from the 100-point mark, indicating a negative perception.
The index, which measures consumers' views on the economy and employment, stood at 40.6 points. This suggests that the majority of consumers have a gloomy outlook. Yet, there's a glimmer of hope. The index has improved by nearly six and a half points since October, and by 0.5 points year-on-year.
Looking ahead, consumers' expectations for the next six months have brightened significantly. The index for future expectations has climbed to 100.4 points, indicating a more optimistic view of the coming months.
