Strathedin Properties Expands with £5.3M Bank of Scotland Funding
Strathedin Properties, a family-run developer, is expanding its reach in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Manchester. With a £5.3 million funding package from Bank of Scotland, the company plans to convert historic buildings into modern apartments and residential units.
Founded in 1983 by civil engineer Dr Humayun Reza, Strathedin Properties has grown from restoring small residential homes to undertaking large-scale projects. In Glasgow, the former Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice on Carlton Place is being transformed into 99 high-spec apartments. Meanwhile, in Edinburgh, a historic residence on Church Hill is being revitalised into six city-centre homes.
Bank of Scotland is supporting Strathedin's growth and expansion. Relationship manager Ross Penman has been instrumental in securing a five-year property and asset loan, which will fund immediate projects and long-term growth. The loan will also support the hiring of 18 more staff in the coming months, adding to the multinational team of skilled engineers and tradespeople.
Strathedin Properties, with its £5.3 million funding from Bank of Scotland, is set to revitalise more historic buildings in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Manchester. The company's expansion is expected to create jobs and contribute to the revitalisation of these cities' historic landscapes.
