Streetside Shutdown on Bergmannstrasse in Hürth-Gleuel: Complete Restriction Enacted
In the coming weeks, residents and commuters in Hürth-Gleuel will encounter some changes due to a construction project on Bergmannstraße. Scheduled from April 14 to around April 25, 2025, the project management aims to connect a local house to the district heating network, with Rhein-Erft Netz GmbH being the responsible company.
During this period, Bergmannstraße will be closed between Ernst-Reuter-Straße and Schnellermaarstraße. Motorists will need to follow detours, with the rerouting taking place via Hermülheimer Straße and Ernst-Reuter-Straße.
For those using public transportation, city bus line 711 will be rerouted during the construction period. To accommodate this, alternative bus stops have been recommended. Passengers are advised to use Ernst-Reuter-Straße instead of Jakob-Eßer-Platz, Gildenweg instead of Barbarastraße, and Heinrich-Imig-Straße as an alternative for both Otto-Maigler-See and Zieskovener Straße.
It is important to note that pedestrians and cyclists can pass through the area as usual. However, residents can drive up to the construction site, but there are no restrictions for pedestrians and cyclists.
Unfortunately, the stops at Otto-Maigler-See, Zieskovener Straße, Barbarastraße, and Jakob-Eßer-Platz will not be served during this time. Commuters are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra time for travel.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to improve the construction infrastructure in Hürth-Gleuel. For the latest updates on this project management, please visit the city's official website or contact Rhein-Erft Netz GmbH directly.
