Strickland Metals Unveils Potential Company-Making Porphyry Targets at Rogozna Project
Strickland Metals (ASX: STK) has unveiled promising new targets at its Rogozna Project in Serbia, following a gravity survey that revealed a detailed structural architecture. These targets could significantly expand the company's resource base beyond its existing 7.4Moz AuEq resource.
The survey identified three key mineralisation-controlling structures and multiple potential magmatic intrusive centers. Strickland plans to commence a Magnetotelluric (MT) survey in the coming weeks to better define these structures and refine drill targets for late 2025.
The new porphyry targets are located in the Rogozna North and Rogozna South areas. Previous drilling at the Jezerska Reka prospect intercepted extensive porphyry-related veining with associated gold mineralisation, suggesting the potential for a large mineralised magmatic hydrothermal system. Porphyry copper-gold deposits are some of the world's largest and most valuable mineral resources, with copper grades typically ranging from 0.2% to 1% and gold grades from 0.1 to 1 g/t.
Strickland's dual-track exploration approach involves testing these new porphyry targets while continuing its ongoing 50,000m drilling campaign focused on growing the existing resource base at known skarn-hosted deposits. With $52.4 million in cash and liquid assets as of June 30, 2025, Strickland is well-funded to pursue its ambitious exploration program.
The newly defined porphyry targets at the Rogozna Project represent potential company-making discoveries, given the substantial size of porphyry deposits globally. Strickland's existing 7.4Moz AuEq resource provides a solid foundation for growth, with multiple avenues to significantly expand the resource base. The company is well-positioned to create value for shareholders through its ongoing exploration efforts.
