Completely destitute of money - Struggling severely with financial hardship

In a surprising turn of events, Tommi Piper, the beloved German voice of the furry alien 'Alf' in the cult series, is currently battling financial hardship. The 75-year-old actor, who last appeared on the big stage in 2019 at the RTL jungle camp, has been forced to seek assistance from food banks due to his depleted wealth.

Piper's former wealth, amassed from his successful acting career, has dwindled, leaving him completely broke. He admitted as much to Munich's "tz" publication. Despite this, Piper remains grateful for the roof over his head and the warm welcome he receives at the food bank.

Piper has been living alone in the house he shares with his son, following the death of his wife Angelika four years ago. The house now belongs to his son, and Piper's cleaning lady continues to help and support him. He also receives a small pension and a monthly allowance from his son for daily necessities.

Despite his current hardships, Piper is not giving up. He is looking for a publisher for his book "Yes, I Was Alf", a biography detailing his experiences as the voice of the beloved alien character. So far, 40 publishers have rejected his book, and there is no publicly available information on their current addresses.

Piper's career peak was in the 13th season of "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!", where he finished in 10th place. However, the lack of engagements, voice-over jobs, and dwindling residuals have taken a toll on his finances. Piper is particularly hurt by this situation, feeling a deep sense of shame about his current financial state.

In a surprising twist, Piper no longer dreads going to the food bank. He was welcomed so warmly there that he now finds comfort in the community. Piper has also had to sell his car due to his financial difficulties.

Despite his struggles, Piper is not giving up. He is looking for alternative living arrangements, such as assisted living, to ease his financial burden. He continues to hope for a publisher for his book and a brighter future.
