Syngenta Agro experiences a leadership shift in government and public relations, with Gumpert now in charge.
Alina Gumpert has taken on a new role as the Head of Syngenta Agro's Digital Business Unit, effective from April 1. In this position, she will lead and drive the company's digital transformation efforts, focusing on developing innovative digital solutions for agriculture.
Gumpert's appointment comes after Christopher Sieler vacated the Berlin office position at Syngenta Agro to take on the role of Global Head of Political Engagement and Analysis for the Syngenta Group, effective from June 2024. Sieler had previously held the position of Head of the Berlin office at Syngenta Agro.
Gumpert's new role is not specified to be in any particular location, but she will report to Alain-Dominique Quintart, who holds a position of authority within Syngenta Agro. Quintart, based in Brussels, is the Head of Government & Public Affairs Europe and Gumpert's direct supervisor.
Prior to joining Syngenta Agro, Gumpert was active in various economic associations in Berlin and Hamburg. She previously served as the Managing Director of the German Agribusiness Alliance.
Syngenta Agro, where Gumpert and Sieler have worked or are currently working, also has a Global Head of Political Engagement and Analysis.
Gumpert's focus on digital transformation is expected to bring new and innovative approaches to Syngenta Agro, furthering the company's mission to help farmers grow more and lose less.
