Tata Technologies Hit by Ransomware Attack, Client Services Unaffected
Tata Technologies Limited, a subsidiary of the Tata Group, has disclosed a ransomware attack on some of its IT assets. The company, specialising in product development and digital solutions for various sectors, informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) about the incident on January 31.
Tata Technologies, which serves clients in the automotive, heavy machinery, and aerospace sectors, temporarily suspended some IT services as a precaution. However, these services have since been restored, and client delivery services remained fully operational throughout the incident.
The company has commissioned external cybersecurity experts to investigate the attack, identify its root cause, and implement necessary measures. Tata Technologies is currently working with these experts to understand the incident better and take corrective actions.
