The globe's pinnacle railway bridge has been constructed by India.
👋 Hey there! The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, recently unveiled the Chinabski Bridge, connecting the Kashmir Valley to the rest of the country. This badass bridge is currently the highest in the world, standing at a whopping 359 meters above sea level, and 1.3 kilometers long. Modi took to his fav social media platform to announce this major milestone.
He wrote, "Today, we feel immense pride in the Chinabski Bridge, where ambition and execution merge seamlessly, reflecting India's ability to build futuristic infrastructure in challenging conditions."
This new bridge project is expected to boost transportation between Jammu and Srinagar, eventually enhancing trade and tourism.
Before the Chinabski Bridge, the longest bridge in the country was the one at the Bukhtarminsk Reservoir in East Kazakhstan region.
Now, here's a fun fact for ya: There's another bridge in China that's higher than the Chinabski one. It's called the Huajiang Canyon Bridge, and when it's officially completed, it'll stand a staggering 625 meters above the river, breaking the previous record held by the Duge Bridge, which is 565 meters above the Beipan River. So if you're thinking, "How will they travel outside the train?"... well, now you know! The competition's fierce, y'all!
What about the industry that's financing this transportation revolution? Can finance keep up with the rapid advancements in the infrastructure sector?
With another bridge in China standing at 625 meters above the river, one can wonder if the finance industry can handle the increasing costs in the race to build the tallest bridges, especially in competition with the forthcoming Huajiang Canyon Bridge.
