The Mayor is aiming to complete the revamp of the ZOZOR area.
Omsk's Zaozernaya Street Repair Nearing Completion
Omsk Mayor, Sergey Shelest, has announced that the long-awaited repair of Zaozernaya Street is in its final stage. The announcement followed a working meeting in the Soviet district.
"The contractor is responsible for more than just asphalting the road section. They must also install sidewalks, apply plastic markings, replace traffic light sections, develop bus stops, designate parking areas and exits, and put up nearly 400 road signs," Shelest clarified in his Telegram channel.
Part of a regional project named "Regional and Local Road Network" under the national project "Infrastructure for Life," this project spans the area between 7th Zaozernaya Street and Borodino Street. The repair is set to cost 276 million rubles, with the city expecting the project to be completed by August 1, albeit potentially earlier.
Meanwhile, Omsk schools owe over 19 million rubles to food suppliers.
In similar road improvement projects, efforts are often directed at repairing sidewalks, upgrading traffic light sections, renovating bus stops, providing improved parking, enhancing road flow and safety at intersections, and installing new road signs. However, for the latest updates and specific details regarding the ongoing project in Omsk, it is advisable to contact local government authorities or check local news sources.
"What about the industry and finance sector in Omsk, given the current focus on transportation infrastructure with the nearing completion of the Zaozernaya Street repair?"
"Considering the ongoing road improvement project, it would be beneficial to have updates on how the transportation upgrades may impact other industries such as finance, or the development of bus stops, which could potentially facilitate better connections for local businesses."
