News Article: Construction Work on Astana's Kuragaly Highway to Improve Traffic Flow

Starting from July 29, 2022, the Transport and Infrastructure Development Department of Astana City has commenced additional lane construction on the Kuragaly highway and its intersections with Aitmatova and E-430 street. This project, aimed at enhancing traffic flow and road capacity, will continue until August 20.

During the construction period, drivers may experience increased traffic congestion, slower speeds, and possible delays, particularly during peak hours. To facilitate the work, temporary detours and lane shifts have been implemented, with reduced lanes open in some sections of the highway. Temporary traffic signs and indicators have been installed to guide drivers through the altered traffic patterns, ensuring safety and minimizing inconvenience.

The construction work involves the dismantling of a median island on the Kuragaly highway. It is crucial for drivers and pedestrians to take into account possible changes in traffic organization during this period. They are kindly asked to understand and comply with these changes, being cautious and following the instructions provided by the temporary traffic signs and indicators.

Pedestrians and drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance due to changes in traffic organization. Traffic restrictions will be in place from July 29 to August 20 on both sides of the intersections of Kuragaly highway/Aitmatova and Kuragaly highway/Aitmatova/E-430. Similar work will be carried out at the intersection of the Kuragaly highway with E-430 street.

The announcement was made on the official website of the Akimat of Astana, and the construction work is being closely monitored to ensure its completion within the scheduled timeframe. The department is committed to minimizing disruption and ensuring the safety of all road users during this period.

Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to be patient and cooperative during this construction phase. By adhering to the traffic signs and instructions, we can all contribute to a smoother and safer journey on Astana's Kuragaly highway.

The additional lane construction on Astana's Kuragaly highway also includes the finance sector, as additional funds are being allocated for the project. This construction work in the transportation industry is expected to improve the city's infrastructure, making it more efficient for both drivers and pedestrians.
