Train service adjustment: the 'Grand Service Express' company has announced a modification in the route for Osk - Simferopol train No 75/76, effective from September 28. Instead of its usual journey, this train will now travel solely to Tyumen, with Omsk being omitted from its path until December.

Omsk Residents to Lose Direct Train Service to Crimea from September 28

Starting from September 28, Omsk residents who wish to travel to Crimea will have to adjust their plans as the "Grand Service Express" No. 75/76 train route no longer includes Omsk, discontinuing the direct train connection.

The change in the route is due to repair work on the railway and the transition to the autumn-winter schedule. Passengers who had travelled on this route in July paid between 11,800 and 24,300 rubles, but after September 28, they will have to travel with transfers.

The journey from Omsk to Tyumen by train takes 6-7 hours, providing an alternative route for Omsk residents. However, the cost of a seat will vary between 2,000 and 11,000 rubles.

For those planning a trip to Crimea, the practical approach is to plan the journey with at least one transfer in a major city that retains train service to Crimea. The Trans-Siberian Railway can be used to reach major cities such as Moscow or Krasnodar, which have train connections toward Crimea. From these hubs, travelers can continue by rail along routes servicing Crimea, which involves transfer since no direct rail line from Omsk to Crimea exists.

It is worth noting that travelers may experience locomotive changes and stops along this indirect route due to the Trans-Siberian Railway infrastructure and electrification system.

Recently, a resident of Omsk caught a giant pike in Tevriz, which is the size of a child. The catch was made by an individual associated with the media outlet "Om1 Omsk," but it is not specified if the ad on "Om1 Omsk" is related to the giant pike catch.

Unfortunately, the Simferopol airport is currently closed, and suggestions have been made to maintain the Omsk - Simferopol train route at least once every 10 days, but there has been no official response from the transporter. Users in the comments have expressed dissatisfaction with the decision to remove the direct train, but the delay in July due to drone attacks may have contributed to the decision.

In conclusion, Omsk residents who wish to travel to Crimea after September 28 will need to adjust their travel plans and consider alternative routes, including the Trans-Siberian Railway, with at least one transfer in a major city that retains train service to Crimea.

  • "What about alternative routes for Omsk residents heading to Crimea, now that the direct train service is discontinued? The Trans-Siberian Railway could be a choice, albeit with at least one transfer in a city like Moscow or Krasnodar which has train connections towards Crimea."
  • "Considering the discontinuation of the direct train service from Omsk to Crimea, members of the finance sector might find it interesting to analyze the impact on the industry if residents opt for travel through more expensive routes like the Trans-Siberian Railway."
