Transportation Alteration: New detour strategy due to water pipe rupture in transit system

In the city of Wiesbaden, there have been some changes to the bus routes that serve the Berufsschulzentrum (BSZ) and Berliner Straße stops. Here's a breakdown of the affected lines and their new routes:

  • Line 22 bypasses Wettinerstraße after Gustav-Stresemann-Ring and continues directly to the Berufsschulzentrum (BSZ) after the bypass.
  • The "Gartenfeldstraße" and "Wittelsbacherstraße" stops are served by bus lines with destinations Berufsschulzentrum, including lines 22, 27, 33, and school buses.
  • Buses on line 22 from the "Wittelsbacherstraße" stop can go to either the "Hauptbahnhof B" stop or the "Hauptbahnhof A" stop on Kaiser-Friedrich-Ring towards the city center.

For routes towards Berliner Straße, the exact route may vary depending on the specific district or neighborhood. The BVG or Transit app or Moovit can be used to enter your start point and "Berliner Straße" as destination, selecting the date and time to get precise route options.

Other lines with changes in their routes include:

  • Lines 27, 269, 274, 275, X79, and 273 (only towards BSZ) follow a route to Berufsschulzentrum after the "Hauptbahnhof A" stop.
  • Lines 3, 27, 33, and school buses take a regular route until the "Wittelsbacherstraße" stop, then continue via Mainzer Straße and Gustav-Stresemann-Ring to Bahnhofstraße, further to the "Hauptbahnhof B" stop or to the "Hauptbahnhof D" stop on Kaiser-Friedrich-Ring. During construction, the left-turn lane on Mainzer Straße will be closed towards the city center.
  • An overview of all detour announcements is available on www.eswe-verkehr.de.

For more targeted route descriptions or questions, citizens can contact the responsible department or office. Construction work may cause delays, so it is recommended to allow additional time when planning trips.

For timetable information for affected stops, refer to the stops' timetable displays or the interactive route map on www.netzplan-our website.de. The ESWE-Verkehr service hotline is also available from Monday to Friday between 7 am and 6 pm, and on Saturdays from 8 am to 3 pm, under the phone number (0611) 45022450.
