Travel expenses lowered on Western-to-Chelyabinsk flight routes
In a significant move, the ministry of Road Transport and Communications of the Chelyabinsk Region has confirmed the continuation of routes 136k and 158k, following the incorporation of the villages of Zapadny and Prigorodny into Chelyabinsk.
The new fare for these routes has been set at 35 rubles, effective from the date of the incorporation. However, it's important to note that no changes have been made to the fare on these routes as of August 7.
Passengers can continue to use their social transport cards, student transport cards, and electronic travel passes on routes 136k and 158k. The route numbers will remain the same, and the ministry has transitioned to city tariffs on these routes.
The fare throughout these routes is 34 rubles with a transport card, 37 rubles with a bank card, and 43 rubles with cash payment. Free transfers are available within 60 minutes, and the validity period is one month with a transport card.
The ministry has also emphasised the importance of enforcing fare payment rules, as promised, to ensure a smooth operation of the public transport system. No new obligations for transport companies regarding routes 136k and 158k have been announced.
The routes 136k and 158k are maintained for passenger convenience, and no changes have been made to the acceptance of these cards on these routes. Additionally, no changes have been made to the free transfer and validity period policies on routes 136k and 158k.
This update ensures that passengers from the newly included areas have access to standard pricing and card payment options consistent with the rest of the city. The ministry's decision aims to provide seamless transportation for all residents of Chelyabinsk, regardless of their location within the city.
In the wake of the ministry's decision, the fare for public-transit routes 136k and 158k, which serve the cities of Chelyabinsk, will now adhere to the city tariffs, just like other routes within the city. This move in the transportation industry aligns with the ministry's commitment to ensuring seamless finance integration across all public-transit routes in Chelyabinsk.
