Trish Donnelly Named New CEO of Chico's FAS, Driving Brand Reinvention

Trish Donnelly has been appointed as the new Division CEO of Chico's FAS, marking a significant step in the brand's reinvention journey under its parent company, KnitWell Group. Donnelly's appointment signals Chico's ambition to elevate its brands and sharpen its customer service strategy.

Donnelly brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having held leadership positions at prominent fashion retailers such as Urban Outfitters, Polo Ralph Lauren, J. Crew, and PVH. Her appointment comes after the departure of Molly Langenstein in January 2024, who previously held the position.

Donnelly's first task will be to translate her brand vision into operational rigor, a challenge given Chico's highly promotional and margin-sensitive environment. She began her work this week, overseeing all product and customer-facing functions across brands and leading day-to-day operations. Lizanne Kindler, Executive Chair and CEO of KnitWell Group, highlighted Donnelly's appointment in her LinkedIn post, expressing confidence in her ability to drive success at Chico's FAS.

Chico's, which also includes brands like Ann Taylor, Loft, and Talbots under the KnitWell umbrella, has a real chance at reinvention with Donnelly at the helm. Her appointment, following Sycamore Partners' acquisition of Chico's in 2023, indicates a commitment to elevating the brand's offerings and customer experience.
