Tulsa Health Department Launches Online Plan Review Process
Tulsa Health Department (THD) has introduced an online news system for building plans, aiming to enhance convenience and accessibility. This new balance, announced on November 17, 2021, is part of THD's commitment to modernizing its services and reducing paper waste.
Previously, THD's plan review process was a manual, paper-based news. The new e-plan application submission process allows clients to submit documents electronically in one place, potentially reducing delays caused by missing correspondence or payment. THD aims to complete plan reviews within fourteen business days after payment is completed, provided there are no issues with the information submitted.
THD's plan review process ensures that establishments are designed to protect food and reduce contamination risks. The review and consultation provided by THD can help eliminate costly mistakes in construction and ensure compliance with public health regulations. Each year, THD's food protection services program oversees over 400 establishment reviews. A plan review application and fee must be submitted to THD before a bar, food establishment, or other relevant facility can open or undergo a remodel or conversion.
THD's new online plan review process not only benefits clients by streamlining the submission process but also aids THD in tracking reviews internally. By accepting online submissions and payments, THD continues to improve its services while maintaining its commitment to food safety and public health.
