In a significant milestone, Australian gold exploration company Vertex Minerals Limited (ASX:VTX, OTC:VTXXF) has officially started underground gold production at its Reward Gold Mine, part of the Hill End gold project in New South Wales.

The Reward Gold Mine, with a Mineral Resource Estimate of approximately 419,000 tonnes at 16.7 g/t for around 225,000 ounces of gold, is currently being mined using long hole stope methods. Multiple mining fronts are being developed to ensure continuous feed into its Gravity Processing Plant.

Recent developments at the Reward Gold Mine include blasting on the Lady Belmore Reef and the development of access drives, including the full dewatering of Decline 3 on the Mica Vein for flatback mining. The company aims to process high-grade ore in the coming weeks, supplementing initial lower-grade stockpile feed to the plant.

Vertex Minerals is targeting continuous underground production with multiple mining fronts using various methods. As of August 2025, processing via gravity separation plant is already underway.

While the focus remains on the Hill End gold project, the search results do not provide specific recent updates on the production status or progress of the Hargraves gold project. It appears that current activity primarily revolves around the Reward Gold Mine at Hill End.

In addition to its projects in Central West NSW, Vertex Minerals also has assets in the Pride of Elvire gold project and Taylors Rock gold/nickel/lithium project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.

Roger Jackson serves as the Executive Chairman of Vertex Minerals Limited, while Tully Richards holds the position of Technical Director. For inquiries, both Roger and Tully can be reached at [email protected].

Vertex Minerals is committed to advancing the commercial production of gold from its NSW projects, embracing an ethical and environmentally sustainable approach in its operations.

The finance sector may be interested in Vertex Minerals' ongoing business at the Reward Gold Mine, as it aims to produce high-grade ore in the coming weeks, supplementing initial lower-grade stockpile feed to the plant. As of August 2025, processing via the gravity separation plant is already underway in the Reward Gold Mine. The company's ultimate goal is continuous underground production with multiple mining fronts, ensuring a steady supply of gold from its NSW projects.
