Unveiling Apple's Business Connect Platform
Apple has launched a new self-service tool called Apple Business Connect, designed to help businesses of all sizes improve their customer engagement on Apple Maps. This tool, available worldwide from January 11, 2023, allows businesses to manage their information in the interactive Apple Maps place card, including adding and updating photos and logos.
With Apple Business Connect, businesses can invite customers to take actions like ordering food, making a reservation, or reserving a spot for dinner directly from Apple Maps. This feature is particularly useful for small businesses, as Apple designed the tool with them in mind, offering the same access and ability to customize their digital presence as global brands.
Business owners can register for Business Connect using their existing Apple ID or creating a new one on the self-service website from any desktop or laptop computer. After registration and verification, businesses can claim their location(s) and start updating and personalizing their place card for free.
A new feature in Apple Business Connect, Showcases, helps businesses present customers with offers and incentives. Additionally, businesses with many locations can deliver accurate, up-to-date information to Maps at scale through the Business Connect API.
Apple Business Connect complements other Apple services designed to help small businesses grow and reach customers, such as Tap to Pay on iPhone and Business Essentials, providing businesses with additional tools to connect with customers and manage their operations seamlessly.
