Buffalo, Wyoming - The ongoing utility upgrades and paving project on North Main Street, as part of the Buffalo Main Street project, is progressing well, according to the latest update from August 11, 2025[1]. The utility upgrades on the segment between Fort Street and Hart Street are expected to be completed within the next few weeks.

As per the update, the utility upgrades "are coming along nicely"[1]. However, it's important to note that no specific or finalized overall estimated completion date has been publicly announced yet. The update does imply, though, that paving and further improvements will likely follow shortly after the completion of utility upgrades.

In a related development, the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has provided an update on the Buffalo Main Street project for the week of August 11[2]. This update includes the scheduled epoxy overlay on the Clear Creek Bridge downtown, which is set for August 11 and 12, subject to weather and schedule[1].

During this work, lane closures will occur over the Clear Creek Bridge, and West Fetterman Street, as well as the parking area in front of the Busy Bee and Occidental, will be closed while work is done on the west side of the Clear Creek Bridge.

Pedestrians are asked to utilize sidewalks with caution, as some may be closed temporarily due to the ongoing work.

For questions or concerns about the project, residents can contact Laura Dalles, Senior Public Relations Specialist with WYDOT District 4, at (307) 674-2356 (office), (307) 752-3022 (cell), or [email protected].

As the project progresses, residents and visitors are encouraged to follow the latest updates to ensure a smooth commute and to stay informed about any potential disruptions.
