US Bolsters Estonia's & Australia's Defense with $4B Arms Deal

The US is set to bolster Australia's and Estonia's military capabilities with a significant arms deal. This includes a substantial number of Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (GMLRS) and Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) for Estonia, along with additional Himars launchers and missiles for both countries.

The US Department of Defense has approved the sale of a vast array of weaponry. Estonia is to receive 856 GMLRS packages of various types and 182 ATACMS, totaling over $4 billion. This deal also includes six more Himars launchers and numerous missiles, including ATACMS, making it one of the largest arms sales to Estonia to date.

Meanwhile, Australia is set to acquire 48 Himars launchers for $705 million. While specific delivery dates are not yet available, these acquisitions aim to strengthen both nations' defensive capabilities.

This substantial arms deal, worth over $4 billion, underscores the US's commitment to supporting its allies' defense. Estonia and Australia will benefit from enhanced military capabilities, with Estonia's acquisition of GMLRS and ATACMS being one of the largest of its kind.
